It is likely you are seeking therapy because you are facing some form of frustration or pain. It could be loneliness, fear, anxiety, hopelessness, or confusion. Or perhaps you have experienced abandonment, rejection, betrayal, neglect, powerlessness, terror, or disconnection.
I believe that much of the pain we experience and the ways we’ve developed to protect ourselves from it stem from unresolved issues in our significant relationships both past and present. Ironically, relationships are often the source of our greatest joy but also our deepest hurt.
In therapy, I will partner with you to develop your ability to make new and different choices about the pain you’ve experienced, to find your unique voice and gifts, and to increase your ability to live from a clearer sense of who you truly are. Together, we’ll explore your current patterns of thinking, relating, and behaving. When needed, we’ll create paths to new ways of being that will assist you in overcoming the obstacles that stand in the way of the life, healing, and freedom you desire.
My Judeo-Christian worldview leads me to believe that you bear the image of God and are therefore uniquely valuable. Counseling is a truthful and respectful experience, and I will give careful consideration and respect to your unique values and goals.
